Training with like minded people, in a supportive community is great, until you’re just one of so many that your goals are simply the goals of the majority.
The benefits of training go far beyond “burning calories”, and the positive effect on our mindset, compared to the relatively minimal commitment needed to get results, means that training is the first thing you should do when you want to become healthier.
We’re told that “it’s not a failure, it’s a lesson”. But the truth is that sometimes we will fail despite our efforts. This is always a possible outcome if we choose to pursue difficult things, but it doesn’t mean who we are is a failure. We need to learn to disassociate failing one goal and being a failure.
It’s easy to find the negative things in our life, and sometimes it feels like our life is one fail after another. But that’s never really the case, and to turn around that mindset, you need to look for, and celebrate your wins.
Motivation will surely leave you at some point, but instead of stopping your training, you need to maintain ACTION. To do that, go back to basics and keep it simple.
