Does Your Life Feel Out of Control?

Years ago before I started training, or even had the idea for training, my life felt out of control.

Looking back, I don't think there was anything hectic or overwhelming about it, but that is speaking from the perspective of someone who is older and wiser.

That feeling of being out of control is common for a lot of people I think.

Sometimes it manifests itself as a feeling of no control at all.

How do you get back to a place where you feel confident and in control again?

For me, it started with training.

I had a theory that training could change my life in a positive way.

I proved the theory right.

Many people who come to me for coaching, have never trained.

Many of the people who come to me for coaching, haven't moved with an aim or played sports for years either.

This is part of the problem, I believe.

We are, in essence, still animals, capable of amazing physical feats.

Yet most of us limit ourselves to walking to and from the car to get to the office.

So we have a disconnect from a big part of ourselves. The physical body.

The way it can move, the way it can move things, the feelings we get after we do those things.

Let me state this in another way: many of us wake up, hope in the car, and drive to work, and then walk to the office. That is it for our physical activity.

With all the benefits of training being discussed to death on every medium of information, many of us still do nothing. Is it any wonder we live with a sense of dread, depression and anxiety hanging over us?

To get right to the point: training, exercise, movement (whatever you want to call it), is the foundation of control and health in our lives.

It directly and positively affects every other aspect of our life.

PEAK is all about being Strong for Life. The point is that training makes our lives better, teaches us lessons about life, and makes us strong to take on life; to overcome that dread and anxiety.

If you want to get that control back, get control of your body. Get control of your physical being. Use your body in the way it’s meant to be used.

It worked for me, it works for my clients, it will work for you too.
